Norma Doors won the award for Best Wood Technological Design, with the Norma Fit Door patent, at the prestigious Wood Federation Awards (BWF Awards), held every year in Birmingham. The new category of "Wood Design" has been launched this year to recognize excellence in technical expertise, application and innovation in the manufacture and design of woodworking products.
This new award has been highly contested by the category of products and finalist companies: Future Heritage Sash Windows Limited has been nominated for its "Prestige" guillotine window; Howarth Windows & Doors Limited for its hidden "Town & Country" guillotine and sliding window; Howdens Joinery distributor of Norma Doors in the United Kingdom, by the Norma Fit Door interior door, patented worldwide and marketed in the UK as Quick Fit Door; Finally JELD-WEN, former shareholder of NORMA, was also a finalist with a molding for glass doors.
